This is an animation I created in Adobe After Effects. I planned on creating a short animation that could be used as an introduction/outro to online videos and easily manipulated to suit multiple clients' branding style/colour schemes by simply converting vector colours and dropping any logo into the circular centre at the end of the video. I spent roughly 7-8 hours on this animation.
This is a sans serif typeface I created in Adobe Illustrator. I wanted to create a font which would be clean, easy to read and have a modern look.
Bass Buddha Music Logo
This was a design created for a start up music group. I was asked to create a logo for their music channel which would predominantly be used on social media and Youtube. The brief was to create a logo that symbolised their existing name Bass Buddha Music. I created the logo in adobe Illustrator. The idea was to create a logo that would look good in multiple different colour schemes as they wanted to use the same logo but in different colours to show the different genres of music they were producing. I had a very short timeline to create this as it was needed ASAP. This design took me 7 hours to complete from the hand drawn mockups to the final piece.
Beta F1 shirt Swing Tag
I created this design for RetroGP.com. The brief was to make a design that was different to the usual swing tag used yet unique to the Beta product it was going on. I created this design in Adobe Illustrator. Taking an iconic image from the web of a Beta F1 car I used the trace function in Illustrator to get a basic stylised idea of what it should look like. I thought A stylised three colour image would suit as the car itself was very well known for its colour scheme. With a lot of tidying up, I got the end result looking smooth. This process took me 5 hours.
Apple Watch Render
This is a render I created from nothing in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I spent most of my time in the effects panel trying to get the correct gradients for the metals. The original shapes were created as vectors in Illustrator and imported into Photoshop.
I was asked by RetroGP.com to come up with a T-shirt design for a new range of shirts that were to be launched in the upcoming months. The design was for a new range called 'Everoak' who made the original racing helmets in Formula 1. The only part of the brief that was set in stone was to include the brand's name. I created this graphic in Adobe Illustrator as it had to have vector paths to work as a cut file for the printing process.
Clean Intro Logo
This is a short animation I created for intros and outros. I created it purposely to be easy to manipulate for multiple clients. The expand and compressed effect comes from simply reversing the animation once it has been rendered and attaching it to the end of the existing footage. This took me 5 hours to complete.
Mercedes - Jordan 191 Chassis
I created this design for RetroGP.com. At the time there was a big call out on social media against the style of the new F1 cars for being ugly, so I took this opportunity to try to gain some attention for them online. I did this by creating an image of a 90's F1 car and rendering it in a Modern livery. I used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for this project. The main challenge was taking off the old livery and keeping the lighting the same so that it wouldn't manipulate the shape of the chassis allowing the car to stay recognisable to the audience. The end result was successful as it gained a huge response from the targeted community on all platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Reddit.
James Hunt Hesketh Badge
I was asked to recreate a badge used on James Hunt's old race overalls so that RetroGP.com could reproduce the badge as a printable vinyl graphic. I used a mixture of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to do so. The tough part was making the stitching look realistic as if it were done by a machine. I did this by making vector paths and creating a custom brush in Photoshop that would make a stitched effect. Then using the effects panel I made the 3D look.
This animation was created in Adobe After Effects and took me about 9 hours to complete. I wanted to create a short video that transitioned through the evolution of mobile phones.
I created this website in Sublime Text using HTML and CSS. This took me 13 hours to complete. I also have experience building websites with Adobe Muse however I prefer the control you have using code.
This design was created for RetroGP.com. I was asked to create a new T-shirt design that could be used repeatedly for different circuits by changing the national flag and text that goes with it. They wanted the graphic to have a unique looking style compared to the rest of the product line. I decided to create a subtle/stylised piece that would be equally balanced and have a sense of motion to it representing the cars speed. I created this graphic in Adobe Illustrator. Warping the text to suit the angles of the ribbon section was the toughest part, however, with enough tampering I got it to work.
Hesketh F1 Car Vector
I created this in Adobe Illustrator using light and dark gradients to create the 3D effect. My plan was to create an image in the same style as they do in the Mclaren 'Tooned' cartoons. To add to the realistic effect I added more randomly shaped gradients to go over the car's graphics to simulate reflections of objects around the scene, this made the image much less flat.
I created this design for a client who wanted a graphic made for a wedding. I was given two photos to use and was told it had to be in the style of Roy Lichtenstein. I created this in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. To start off I lowered the contrast and turned the image black and white in Photoshop. I then added the colours back in the style of Lichenstein. I then took the images over to Illustrator to add the pop art effects using the small circles.
This animation is designed to flow with the background music. I did this by using the speed graph editor in Adobe After Effects. I smoothened the whole animation out by using the Easy Ease function for the majority of movements and scales adjustments.
